Problem Statement

Rural women face multiple barriers including limited access to income-generating opportunities, clean energy, sustainable agriculture inputs, and health-related products.

Traditional systems used in farming and household operations are costly, fuel-intensive, laborious, and environmentally harmful.

Additionally, a lack of access to quality products and awareness prevents rural communities from transitioning to more sustainable and healthy lifestyles.

Our Solution

These products are promoted and sold by trained women entrepreneurs known as “Sakhis” within their own communities.

Vision

Empowered rural women lead a movement of climate-smart livelihoods, enabling their communities to adopt sustainable products and practices, resulting in economically thriving, environmentally resilient rural communities.

Mission

By 2030, empower 10,000 rural women entrepreneurs to deliver clean energy, sustainable agriculture, and healthcare solutions to 2 million rural households.

The SURE Model

The role of women in rural communities is multifaceted and varies across different cultural, social, and economic contexts. Understanding their roles requires considering a range of factors, including traditional norms, economic activities, access to education, healthcare, and their participation in decision-making processes. Rural marketing requires innovative approaches to connect with diverse consumer bases. One promising avenue is tapping into progressive women networks in rural areas. Women play a pivotal role in shaping the socio-economic fabric of rural communities, and by leveraging their networks, we can create effective and sustainable strategies.
